Engineered, finished enclosures built to your specification — delivered ready for your electronics.
Jor-Mac designs and builds custom NEMA-rated enclosures and cabinets for OEMs who need more than an off-the-shelf box. We engineer to your rating, your environment, and your hardware, and deliver complete enclosures — fabricated, welded, finished, and ready for you to mount your electronics. Because fabrication and powder coat finishing happen under one roof, we can build larger and more complex enclosures than shops that have to ship work out for paint.

NEMA Ratings We Build To
NEMA 1, 12, and 3R — we design and engineer to the specification, and we can test internally to NEMA/UL 3R requirements.
NEMA 4 and 4X — we build to your requirements; where third-party testing is required, parts are sent out for certification.
That makes us a strong fit for outdoor-duty equipment. We’re very experienced designing 3R enclosures with the gasketing, flange overlap, and finish needed to perform in harsh outdoor environments.and e-coat — plus cut-to-length stock. Everything else stays here, where we control the schedule and the quality.

Additional Details
We routinely integrate cutouts, gasketing, hinges, latches, locks, lifting eyes, and mounting hardware — shipping complete, ready-to-populate enclosures. Gasketing and special hardware are among the most common requests, because most of our customers want an enclosure they can mount their electronics into the moment it arrives.
We help you choose material based on the environment the product will live in — carbon steel, aluminum, stainless, galvanized, or galvannealed. Wherever possible we commonize gauges to improve manufacturability and speed production, and we’ll guide you toward the thinnest gauge that meets your requirements — often a meaningful cost saving — adding rigidity through design where needed.
We build enclosures to UL 508A. For outdoor and switchgear applications, our finishing carries IEEE/ANSI C57.12.28 certification at both facilities — covering coverage, impact resistance, and weather/corrosion performance — and we regularly finish in the standard utility colors: Munsell Green, ANSI 70, and ANSI 61 Gray.
Our engineering team can take an enclosure from concept, work from your existing model, or reverse-engineer an enclosure you already have in the field. (See Design for Manufacturability for how we partner with your engineers.)
Our enclosure sweet spot is low-volume, larger, more complex builds — including the sizeable enclosures the Muza Metal Products acquisition gave us the space and capacity to take on.
Fabrication & Finishing Under One Roof
A large welded enclosure base can be finished in our batch booth while the surrounding panels run on our automated powder coat line — then assembled into the complete unit. Having both capabilities in-house is exactly what lets us build bigger and more complex.
What to Settle at the Spec Stage
The biggest source of rework is incomplete requirements at quote — especially on the aesthetic side. Aligning early on both the physical and the finish requirements your product needs lets us get it right on the first pass.
Comparing Quotes? Look Beyond Price
When you’re weighing enclosure quotes, look at the support behind the part: engineering support, quality support, and customer-service responsiveness across the whole build. Customers often award us repeat work after experiencing that difference — even when we weren’t the lowest initial quote.
If you build power-distribution, power-generation, automation, or HVAC equipment and need complete, finished, custom enclosures on an ongoing basis, we’d like to see your drawing.

Yes. We handle both reverse engineering of an enclosure you already have in the field and complete new enclosure engineering from concept.
